Raely Studios

Picture frames and poster hanging systems for considered walls

Edition wall No. 2

Build the wall around the work

Raely Studios brings picture frames, poster rails and magnetic hangers into one clear display-hardware catalogue, with practical size guidance for homes, studios and workspaces across the UK.

A wall system, not an afterthought. Match picture frames and poster hangers by format, finish and the way you want the display to sit on the wall.

Change the poster without changing the wall. Magnetic hangers and rail systems make wide formats and rotating prints straightforward to mount.

Horizontal systems

Poster hangers turn hardware into a clean rule

Magnetic bars, snap rails and paired poster rails hold the sheet at its edge rather than enclosing all four sides. They suit rotating displays, broad formats and paper-led walls where a conventional frame would add too much visual weight.

  • Magnetic bars for straightforward print changes
  • Snap rails for frequently updated notices
  • Wide systems for landscape formats

Frame finder

Start with the sheet, then define the edge

A useful frame choice begins with facts that can be checked before colour or profile enters the conversation.

01

Read the dimensions

Measure the complete paper in millimetres and compare it with the stated frame format rather than estimating from the artwork area.

02

Set the orientation

Decide whether the work will sit portrait or landscape, then check the complete wall area around that direction.

03

Choose the boundary

Black sharpens the edge, white keeps it quiet, oak-effect adds warmth and slim metal reduces visible bulk.

04

Plan the spacing

Mark outer frame corners on the wall so gaps between neighbouring pieces remain deliberate and consistent.

The current display edit

Four display profiles, one measured wall

Compare a firm black edge, a warmer wood-look frame, an open magnetic hanger and a functional snap rail side by side.

Wall planner

Compose the arrangement before making a fixing

Use a bounded composition to keep mixed formats readable instead of spreading pieces without a shared line.

Single anchor

Give one large frame the lead position and keep nearby objects outside a clearly measured margin.

Compact grid

Align two or four frames to shared outer edges and hold the same horizontal and vertical gap throughout.

Editorial column

Stack varied formats against one common left edge so different proportions read as one group.

Frame and rail

Pair a conventional frame with a poster hanger by aligning their centres or one outer edge.

Finish and profile at a glance

The right edge changes how strongly the hardware participates in the display.

Carbon blackStrong graphic boundarySeparates the print clearly from a pale wall.
Gallery whiteLow-contrast perimeterKeeps hardware quieter around light prints.
Oak-effectWarm visual transitionAdds a wood-look edge without ornate moulding.
Slim metalPrecise narrow lineReduces profile width in close-set arrangements.
Poster railOpen-sided displayDefines two edges while leaving the sides visible.

Measure before choosing

Picture frame and poster size index

Frame names and poster labels are useful starting points, but the actual sheet measurement is the reliable reference for selecting a frame, magnetic bar or rail width.

Use millimetres as the common language

Lay the print flat on a clean surface and measure its full width and height in millimetres. Do not measure only the visible artwork or assume that a border has already been allowed for, because the complete sheet is what must fit the selected hardware.

Compare those figures with the note attached to each product variant. A named A-format should correspond to the stated dimensions, while formats such as 50 × 70 cm should be checked directly because trimming, production tolerance and existing mounts can alter the final sheet.
